Unplanned Water Outage 9/29/21
SDSU Urgent was activated on Sept. 29, 2021 after reports of an unplanned water outage affecting campus. Water has since been restored to campus.
Sept. 29 at 4:22 p.m.: Water to SDSU has been restored following an unplanned water outage earlier today that affected the majority of campus. The City of San Diego confirmed with Facilities Services that a regional outage had occurred, and that the incident was not specific to SDSU. Water pressure is near normal and rising across campus.
No further issues are expected. However, if you observe any persistent problems with water, contact Facilities Services by completing an online work request, or by calling Work Control at 619-594-4754.
Sept. 29 at 12:09 p.m.: Facilities Services is working with the City of San Diego to investigate an unplanned water outage affecting campus. Water to impacted areas is being restored now, but may be lower pressure over the next 90 minutes. Restrooms will remain open and operational during this time.
Water should be fully restored by 4 p.m. to regular pressures.
