Box Truck Crash 11/22/21
SDSU Urgent was activated on Nov. 22, 2021 after a reportedly stolen truck crashed into P7.
Nov. 22, 2021 11:08 a.m.: An all clear has been issued. Police remain active in the area near the 5100 block of 55th Street. There remains no threat to campus. Parking Lot 7 remains closed and all are asked to continue avoiding the area for at least 3 hours due to the ongoing investigation.
Nov. 22, 2021 10:27 a.m.: SDPD is clearing the scene. There is no threat to campus and there are no injuries reported. The Montezuma entrance to P7 will be closed for an estimated 4 hours due to ongoing investigation. All are asked to continue avoiding the area near the 5100 block of 55th Street.
Nov. 22, 2021 10:16 a.m.: Updates will be shared as more information is available. Again, avoid the area of 5100 55th Street. There is no active threat to campus, but there is an increased presence of police due to an ongoing investigation.
Nov. 22, 2021 10:12 a.m.: San Diego Police Department had a pursuit with a white box truck reported stolen on the morning of Monday, Nov. 22. The truck crashed into a concrete wall at P7, 5100 55th Street. As of 10:04 a.m., all are asked to avoid the area. Two males fled the vehicle. SDPD and SDSU’s University Police Department are holding a perimeter while SDPD’s helicopter is checking the area. No injuries were reported. There is no threat to campus.
