Unplanned Power Outage 8/24/22

SDSU Urgent was activated on August 24, 2022 after a power outage impacted parts of campus.

10:55 a.m.: SDG&E confirmed power was restored at 10:10 a.m.  The cause was a bird contact at the Murray substation.

9:33 a.m.: SDG&E is assessing the outage to determine the cause out of outage, which is impacting multiple communities, including parts of SDSU.

9:28 a.m.: Update: SDG&E has confirmed that the outage is impacting multiple communities. The cause is not yet known.

9:02 a.m.: SDSU Alert: SDSU is aware of an unplanned power outage impacting parts of campus. Assessment is active to restore power. Updates will be shared.
