Vehicle Fire, September 8, 2022

SDSU Urgent was activated on September 8, 2022 during a vehicle fire near campus.

1:57 p.m.: All clear. The fire department was able to quickly extinguish the vehilce fire and Canyon Crest Drive is now reopned to traffic in both directions.

12:49 p.m.: No injuries or structural damage have been reported, and there is no threat to campus. Canyon Crest Drive is estimated to reopen at 1:30 p.m.

12:39 p.m.: The fire has been extinguished. Please continue to avoid the area around Aztec Circle Drive and Parking 12. Canyon Crest Drive is closed to traffic in both directions.

12:35 p.m.: The University Police Department and San Diego Fire Department are responding to a vehicle fire located at Aztec Circle Drive and Parking 12. Please avoid the area.
