Smoke Reported at Love Library

The confirmed cause was smoke from a faulty light fixiture. An early report indicated that there was a small fire at the Love Library. There is no active fire and no threat to safety or buildings. Love Library and Manchester Hall were evacuated and, as of 11:25 a.m., both buildings are clear and all may reenter.

April 16 at 11:17 a.m.: The isolated fire at Love Library is now out. UPD and fire crews arrived quickly and remain on scene. Those in Love Library and Manchester Hall should remain evacuated. More information: Urgent.sdsu.edu.

April 16 at 11:10 a.m.: SDSU Alert: UPD and fire on scene of a small fire in the library. The fire is out.  Details are emerging but no immediate threat to life or safety at this time.
