Partial Power Outage, October 4, 2022

SDSU Urgent was activated on October 4, 2022 when a power outage impacted parts of campus.

11:05 a.m.: SDSU ALERT: All Clear - Power has been restored to the west side of campus and confirmed by Facilities Services staff. The cause for the outage from the utility remains unknown, and SDG&E and SDSU’s Facilities Services teams continue to assess. If you are still experiencing abnormal conditions, submit a request for support online: https://sdsu.assetworks.cloud/

10:27 a.m.: SDG&E reports that the outage is impacting additional communities, such as Kensington, Talmadge, City Heights, Chollas Creek and Oak Park. The cause is not yet known.

10:20 a.m.: SDG&E reports that a power outage is impacting parts of SDSU, Ronaldo and La Mesa. The power outage was first reported at 9:47 a.m., and SDG&E is assessing the outage to determine the cause. SDSU's Facilities Services is also assessing the on campus impact.

10:07 a.m. SDSU ALERT: SDSU is aware of a partial power outage impacting some areas of the west side of campus. Facilities Services is assessing the cause and updates will be shared. SDG&E estimates that power will be restored at about 12:30 p.m. Visit urgent.sdsu.edu.
