Information will be shared here during emergencies for which San Diego State University has activated emergency communications.
Emergency Services
During emergencies, dial 9-1-1 or use any emergency blue light duress phone located throughout campus. If you are unable to call, text to 9-1-1 is available within San Diego County. Individuals should text if they are:
- Deaf or hard of hearing, non-verbal or have difficulty speaking;
- Experiencing a situation where it is unsafe to call 9-1-1 for help;
- Or in a medical emergency and cannot speak on the phone.
To report a non-emergency, dial 619-594-1991 and select option '1' from the menu to speak with a police dispatcher. If you are unable to call the non-emergency line, you may email [email protected].
Partial Power Outage at SDSU Imperial Valley, Calexico
SDSU Imperial Valley, Calexico is experiencing an unplanned partial power outage on campus today, Friday, Dec. 1. SDSU Imperial Valley, Brawley and SDSU in San Diego are not impacted. While an earthquake was reported in the region last night, November 30, at 11:43 p.m., the partial power outage is not related to the earthquake.
Friday, December 1, at 9:42 a.m.: SDSU Alert: A partial power outage has been reported at SDSU Imperial Valley, Calexico today, Friday, Dec. 1. The Imperial Irrigation District (IID) is already on site to assess the outage. SDSU Imperial Valley Brawley and SDSU in San Diego are not impacted by the outage. The power outage is not related to last night’s earthquake. Updates to come. Information at Urgent.sdsu.edu.
Friday, December 1, at 11:49 a.m.: SDSU Alert: Following a partial power outage at SDSU Imperial Valley, Calexico, power has been fully restored to campus. SDSU Imperial Valley, Brawley and SDSU in San Diego were not impacted by the outage. Information at Urgent.sdsu.edu.
